WHAT CAN’T SHENANDOAH DO?

There’s just a 10-15 drive between our driveway and the trailheads to Shenandoah’s most popular hikes. Being so close to White Oak Falls and Old Rag Mountain is reason enough to stay at Archer’s Ridge, but don’t forget all of the incredible trails and overlooks throughout the rest of Shenandoah National Park. Hawksbill Summit and Little Devil Stairs are two of our favorites.

With over 500 miles of trails to choose from in the park, we know it can be tough to pick a place to start, but if you’re looking for a specific distance/feature/difficulty let us know! We’re happy to be your personal AllTrails.

We’ve got all you need to cook gourmet meals right here at the cabin, but if you’re looking for someone else to do the cooking while you’re on vacation, our area has plenty to offer.

From gourmand dining at the Inn at Little Washington or Three Blacksmiths in Sperryville, to local BBQ in Etlan and can’t-miss sandwiches in Madison, you’ll have plenty of places to dine out to while you visit.

A local distillery in Sperryville, a plethora of craft breweries in every direction, Ducard Vineyards just 2 minutes down the road, and views and wines that’ll make your heart skip a beat at nearby Revalation Vineyards, the local beverage scene truly has something for everyone.

Not big on hiking? Not a worry. The Shenandoah area has SO much to offer. From renowned fly-fishing in the Robinson and Rose Rivers (with the proper permits) just a couple miles from the cabin, to exploring the underground world of Luray Caverns, to local horseback riding tours, and, of course, the perfect summer day cruise atop Skyline Drive, you’ll need to plan a trip back just to fit it all in.
